The Studio Tour went very well. It was the first anual and we are already looking forward to next year.

There were so many comments about how well the tour was organized. Congratulations to all of us, expecially the ones who did the planning.

To touch or not to touch

If you are ever in a gallery or at an art event, don't, I repeat, don't even think about touching any work of art, unless it has my name on it, then touch to your heart's content. I'm into texture. And what is the point of having texture if you can't touch it? My argument is that the sensorial experience of touching the work enhances the veiwer's experience with the piece. When I went to New York City last summer (I love saying that. It makes me feel so cosmopolitan) I gave a small painting to R. The first thing he did was rub his full palm all over the thing. That made me happy. And in my art class....forget about it! Everyone is always touching, touching, touching. I couldn't stop them if I tried. Not that I would try. So if you ever see me and my art out someplace together, please, touch me!
